ODOUR CONTROL BY HIGH PRESSURE FOGGING

Click to enlargeHigh pressure fogging is a simple and effective method of removing odours from waste handling and treatment sites. At Odour Control Ltd we can provide a safe and economical method of eliminating a wide range of odour and dust problems.

An odour neutralising solution is dosed into the pump suction where it is mixed with water and then pumped at high pressure along a lightweight hydraulic line. The solution is then atomised into the air through a brass or stainless steel nozzle. The droplet size is around 10 microns and ensures that the maximum amount of odour neutraliser comes into contact with the odorous gas.

The nozzles are designed for many years of trouble free use and are easily dismantled for cleaning should this be necessary.

250 metres of nozzle line can be installed in approximately 40 minutes and the base unit sited and commissioned in less than an hour which demonstrates the ease of installation of our systems. The systems shown are in continuous operation and are subject to harsh conditions.

ODOUR CONTROL WITH THE ROTARY ATOMISER

Click to enlargeThe Odour Control Ltd fan assisted rotary atomiser is an advanced spray droplet generator which uses a variable speed drive to power a high speed induction motor which is driven at 12000 rpm. The droplet size is determined by the atomiser rotational speed.  Changing the speed of the motor will give the optimum droplet size for a wide range of applications such as odour control and dust suppression. The high speed operation which will generate a fine droplet size would be suitable for odour control and humidification. The slower speeds and larger droplets available would be best suited for dust suppression where wetting may be required. The atomiser is available in two sizes.  These units can be fitted with a reciprocating device enabling one atomiser to cover an area that would normally require anything up to eight conventional nozzle systems.

STAND ALONE UNITS

Click to enlargeThese stand alone units are ideal for smaller areas where dust or odour is a problem.  All that is required to set the unit into operation is a water and electricity supply.  Each unit is portable and can be operational in a few minutes.

The base of each of these units is designed with fork lift attachments or lifting eyes enabling it to be moved easily and safely.  The steel base also acts as a counter weight and adds stability to the unit.

A container of an odour neutralising solution can be fitted to the base of the unit and can be automatically dosed into the atomised liquid. All units can be manufactured to oscillate if required, this gives the opportunity to cover a larger area with a single unit and therefore reduce cost. Maintenance is minimal and these atomisers can operate in extremely tough conditions.

MOBILE ODOUR CONTROL UNITS

Click to enlargeClick to enlargeThe mobile odour and dust suppression unit is a self contained transportable system. The complete unit is mounted on a highway specification chassis and can be positioned and set to work in a few minutes. The mobile systems have the facility to include a slave unit if required.

The mobile unit comprises of an 1100 litre bowser which is powered by a 110 volt diesel generator. The galvanised steel telescopic mast which can be raised to a height of four and a half metres supports the fan and atomiser assembly. Fitted to the base of the unit is a pump which delivers the odour neutraliser to the atomiser, the flow to the atomiser is controlled by an integral flow meter which is adjustable between 0.2 and 3.0 litres per minute. These mobile units provide an effective and immediate solution in remote problem areas.

WALL MOUNTED ODOUR CONTROL UNITS

Click to enlargeThe wall mounted version of the atomiser is used to suppress odour and dust and an odour neutraliser is also added. The neutralisers can be fragranced or un-fragranced as required.  When used for dust management, we recommend the use of a dust suppression liquid through the atomiser to help generate even smaller droplets and to bind the dust particles together, this also slows the evaporation of the water droplets.  The wall mounted units can be fitted with oscillating mechanisms and can cover a much larger area than conventional misting systems such as those with a manifold of nozzles around a fan.

The mist can be propelled up to 30 linear metres in an enclosed building combine this with the variable flow, variable droplet size and an oscillating system and you have an extremely efficient means of dust and odour management. Fan assisted units with a manifold of nozzles can never achieve this type of performance.
